Ok been running the new motor for a few days now and am having a power steering issue. I put in a new rack, bled the system and used atf. I have a small leak which looks like its coming from the j pipe from the reservoir to the back of the pump. I'm getting the whining noise when turning the wheel even though it has enough fluid.
Ok my motor is a 95 which had a 3 teeth slot for the ps hose on the crank pulley. My car is a 90 and has the dual chamber 4 slot pulley on it. I opted to use a 3 groove hose on the old pump since the new crank pulley was in a lot better shape then the old one that had a lot of chips in it. Would using the 3 groove belt setup on the 4 groove pulley cause my whine? Or would a small leak from one of the pipes? I'm hoping i didnt ruin my new rack
